Are we ready???

So mommy is starting to freak out a little bit... we have a baby coming in less than 4 weeks... if s/he doesn't decide to arrive early... OMG, I hope s/he doesn't come early! Which according to Jeff just won't happen... as he puts it I'm almost always late so why would the baby be any different. :) Yep, that's husband logic right there folks. :)

But early, late, or on-time I am still starting to freak out a little... I think we are ready physically - the nursery is setup and stocked, car seats are installed and will be checked next week, work forms are filled out for FMLA and approved, hospital bag is backed, even baby-proofing is started at the house and the diaper bag packed. Yep, physically we are good to go... mentally... well I have always been a little mental... but wow... I just can't wrap my head around it lately... a baby... our baby... who we are fully responsible for... maybe it was the fact that the car seat came with a full installation booklet that was a little overwhelming to go through and this kid doesn't come with anything but a whole lot of advice from others (solicited and otherwise)! I mean we have a whole binder full of documentation for everything in the nursery except the baby that will be sleeping there... the only documentation we get with that one is the birth certificate claiming him/her as ours...
