Updates

I was feeling quite awesome on Wednesday when the stroller was a breeze to put together and figure out... by Thursday I was feeling totally inadequate when the stupid pack-n-play was not cooperating. :) I then spent bits and pieces of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday puttering around the nursery. The shower was last Sunday, so there was lots to sort through and put away... and lots of thank-you's to write. Which thankfully are all done now. So all that is left is filling in the gaps of what we need vs what we got, which isn't much. Our families are way to generous and this baby is most likely to be very, very spoiled. :)

Saturday was baby day as we ran around making returns of extra items (do we really need about 18 baby washclothes and what seemed to be a million receiving blankets?) and picking up some stuff that we did need more of - onesies and diapers - which we got an awesome deal on at Target thanks to my obsession with all things coupons and sales ($0.10 a diaper people!). The Saturday night we put the crib together (which was so easy I was convinced we were pros at this already) and already our cat has decided it is her new place to curl up and relax. So now we are trying to train her to stay out of it... fun, fun. :) Did my first load of baby laundry on Sunday and made the crib up today... all ready for a baby... everytime I look in the room, my heart swells a little... its hard to believe its only 9-10 weeks away from D-day... Just a bit more shopping and one more load of baby laundry to do - already a ton of laundry for one little person and they aren't even here yet. :) But it's all so cute that I really don't mind. :)

I wanted to get a lot more done over these last 5 days (I took Thursday and Friday off from work for a nice long weekend), but it just didn't happen... I swear there never seems to be enough time anymore. I am feeling a tired a lot again lately and work stress is making it hard for me to stay motivated and going... speaking of which, I better get into bed - tomorrow is already going to kick my ass with all the deadlines I am hitting... everyone wants everything tomorrow and I didn't do a lick of work all weekend... which I know I am going to regret tomorrow... sigh.
